Richard H. Roberts, MD, PhD
President, CEO and Chairman

Richard H. Roberts, M.D., Ph.D. is the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Chairman of the Board of URL Pharma and its operating divisions. Dr. Roberts received his Medical Degree, and Doctorate in Biophysics, under the Medical Scientist Training Program scholarship from the National Institutes of Health. After completing an Internship in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Brigham and Women's Hospital of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Roberts joined the Company as the Director of Research and Development in 1988 and has held positions of increasing responsibility over the last 19 years. Dr. Roberts received his undergraduate as well as both of his graduate degrees from the University of Pennsylvania.

E. Brendan Magrab, Esq.
Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations and General Counsel

E. Brendan Magrab, Esq. is Executive Vice President of Commercial Operations and General Counsel for URL Pharma. Mr. Magrab received his Bachelors Degree in Biochemistry and Art History from the University of Virginia and his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center. Mr. Magrab worked as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, a law clerk for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and an Associate in a Washington, DC law firm before becoming Vice President of Intellectual Property for Alpharma, Inc. (formerly Faulding Pharmaceutical Company). Mr. Magrab joined URL Pharma in October 2004.

Whitney K. Stearns, Jr.
Executive Vice President – Chief Financial Officer

Whitney Stearns is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for URL Pharma. Most recently, Mr. Stearns was the CFO at JDS Pharmaceuticals, a private-equity-funded branded pharmaceutical company, from its inception in 2004 until its sale to a publicly held company in mid 2007. Prior to his service at JDS, Mr. Stearns was Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer of Savient Pharmaceuticals, a branded specialty pharmaceutical company traded on NASDAQ (Savient was formerly known as Bio-Technology General) and he spent 11 years at Schein Pharmaceuticals, in positions of increasing responsibility, where his last position was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Stearns has experience in all areas of finance, including public accounting and audit experience (at KPMG). Mr. Stearns is a graduate of Lehigh University and is a CPA.

Kristin A. Arnold, PhD
Vice President of Research and Development

Kristin A. Arnold, Ph.D. is Vice President of Research and Development for URL Pharma, Inc. Dr. Arnold received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from LaSalle University and her Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from the University of Miami. Dr. Arnold has 20 years of experience in product development with expertise in solid dosage formulations. Prior to joining URL Pharma, Dr. Arnold worked for Alpharma, Inc. (formerly Faulding Pharmaceutical Company) as Sr. Director of Research and Development. She also held positions at FMC Corporation, Ecogen, Inc, and Monsanto Company. Dr. Arnold has over twenty publications in scientific journals, holds four U.S. patents, and has three patent publications. Dr. Arnold joined URL Pharma in October 2004.

Lorraine M. Betz
Vice President of Strategic Sourcing

Lorraine M. Betz is the Vice President of Strategic Sourcing for URL Pharma. Ms. Betz has been with URL Pharma since July 1995, initially as the Sr. Director of Purchasing, promoted to Vice President, and now focusing on API sourcing for the new product development program. Ms. Betz has over 25 years of experience in the generic pharmaceutical industry, in the international procurement of pharmaceutical raw materials as well as Business Development at PAR, Chelsea (div. of Rugby/Darby-now part of Watson), Zenith (now Ivax/Teva) and Barr Laboratories.

Richard Clegg
Vice President of Financial Systems and Customer Accounting

Richard L. Clegg is the Vice President of Financial Systems and Customer Accounting for URL Pharma. Prior to joining URL Pharma in April 2000, Mr. Clegg held various management positions with Tasty Baking Company and its subsidiaries. With 28 years of combined business and information technology experience, Mr. Clegg brings a unique set of skills to URL Pharma. Mr. Clegg previously spent 4 years in the US Navy as a communications specialist during which he served one tour in Vietnam.

Matthew W. Davis, MD, RPh
Vice President of Clinical Development and Medical Affairs

Matthew W. Davis, MD, RPh is the Vice President of Clinical Development and Medical Affairs for URL Pharma. Dr. Davis received his Pharmacy Degree from Temple University and his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Dr. Davis performed his surgical residency at Brown University and his Urology training at Washington Hospital Center. Prior to joining URL Pharma, Dr. Davis headed Clinical Development, Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance for Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, headed Medical Affairs for Dermik Laboratories (a division of Sanofi-Aventis), and headed Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance for Endo Pharmaceuticals. Dr. Davis also was the Director of Oncology for Eisai Global Clinical Research. Dr. Davis serves as Adjunct Associate Professor in Temple University’s School of Pharmacy. Dr. Davis joined URL Pharma in 2005.

Robert Dettery
Vice President of Regulatory Affairs

Robert Dettery is the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for URL Pharma. Mr. Dettery received his Bachelors Degree from Temple University and his Masters of Science degree from Lehigh University. Upon completion of his graduate studies, Mr. Dettery joined the U.S. Food and Drug Administration where he was employed in FDA's Philadelphia District as a Consumer Safety Officer for more than eleven years. Mr. Dettery joined URL Pharma in 1989 and served as Director of Regulatory Affairs until 1993, when he was promoted to his current position. Mr. Dettery also serves as Adjunct Professor in Temple University’s School of Pharmacy where he teaches a graduate level course entitled “Generic Drug Regulation”.

Dwight D. Hanshew, Jr
Senior Vice President of Operations

Dwight D. Hanshew, Jr. is the Senior Vice President of Operations for URL Pharma. Mr. Hanshew received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Centre College; his Masters Degree in Analytical Chemistry from West Virginia University and his Masters of Business Administration Essentials from the University of Pittsburgh. Mr. Hanshew served in many Quality and Research and Development positions, of increasing responsibility, for fifteen years at Mylan Pharmaceutical Company culminating in the position of Director of Quality Control. Mr. Hanshew joined URL Pharma in December 2004 as the Vice President of Quality Operations where he led the Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Quality Compliance departments through two consecutive FDA cGMP inspections without any FDA Form-483 observations. In late 2007, Mr. Hanshew was promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations.

Gregory K. Hayer
Senior Vice President of Business Development and Market Access

Gregory K. Hayer is the Senior Vice President of Sales for URL Pharma. Mr. Hayer graduated in the top of his class with a BA in Marketing from Shippensburg University. Mr. Hayer began his career in the pharmaceutical industry working for McNeil Pharmaceutical Company. Over the past twenty years Mr. Hayer has held positions of increasing responsibility throughout our Sales and Marketing Department. More recently, Mr. Hayer has also been spearheading the Company’s expanding Business Development efforts where he has been presenting our technologies to a wider array of potential partners.

Nan Hutchinson
Senior Vice President of Marketing

Nan Hutchinson is the Senior Vice President of Marketing for URL Pharma. Ms. Hutchinson has an MBA from Boston University and a BA in Commerce Marketing from Mount Allison University. Ms. Hutchinson has over 20 years of experience in commercialization of pharmaceutical and biotechnology products including positions of increasing responsibility at Johnson & Johnson where she was a Franchise Director and Bristol-Myers Squibb where she was Vice President Global Marketing and Senior Vice President Marketing in US Operators. Ms. Hutchinson’s broad commercial experience includes new product launches, lifecycle planning, portfolio development, joint venture operations, profit and loss accountability, and business development. Ms. Hutchinson joined URL Pharma in 2009.

Edwin J. Miranda
Vice President of Quality

Eddie J. Miranda has held Quality positions of increasing responsibility at URL Pharma, and is currently the Vice President of Quality. Mr. Miranda received his Bachelors Degree in Biology and Chemistry from Angelo State University. Mr. Miranda spent three years in the Army and received the Army Commendation Medal while serving in Panama, with the Meddac Company, 193rd Infantry Brigade, Southern Command. Mr. Miranda’s 22 years of Quality experience focused on all areas of cGMP systems related to pharmaceutical and biotechnology manufacturing. Mr. Miranda has held various QA and manufacturing positions at Abbott Labs, DPT Labs, and Dixie Chemical Company. In addition to this experience, Mr. Miranda also performed international cGMP functions at UCB Pharma, Inc. and Schering Plough.

Gerald E. Monigle, CPA
Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration

Gerald E. Monigle, C.P.A., is the Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration. Mr. Monigle earned his Bachelor Degree in Economics from Georgetown University and his Masters of Business Administration Degree from Temple University. Mr. Monigle began his career at Hercules Incorporated. After Hercules, Mr. Monigle worked at Arthur Young & Company (now Ernst & Young, LLP). Mr. Monigle served as Controller and Chief Accounting Officer of Tasty Baking Company (NYSE) from 1979 to 1994 and as Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Kleinerts, Inc. (NASDAQ) from 1995 to 1998.
